Warning: Explicit and unusual sex in nearly every possible combination: boy on girl, boy on boy, boys on girl, with a little anal action and some spanking thrown in just to keep things interesting!

I always enjoy reading the “Warnings”, placed at the bottom of the synopsis of the books published by Samhain. Some of them IMHO are downright hilarious and certainly attract my attention. The warning quoted above for “Tempt Me Twice”, fit into that category and is apt in its description of the sensuality in this e-book short story. That being said, this is a tale of an interesting relationship dynamic between three people completely comfortable with their own sexuality, which was refreshing.

Tempt Me Twice

Jessie, a talented artist, lives and works in her studio in San Francisco and has been in love with her bisexual best friend Paul since meeting him in college 10 years previously. While Jessie has vivid fantasies about becoming romantically and sexually involved with Paul, their relationship has always been strictly platonic.

Paul has called Jessie asking her to accompany him and his latest romantic interest Noah (also bisexual) on a 3-day camping trip to Lake Tahoe. Jessie initially declines his offer because she knows there is likely going to be hanky panky going on between the men and given her feelings for Paul, she knows (needless to say) that she will feel jealous and hurt.

Paul, however will not be deterred and when he, and the drop dead gorgeous and sweet Noah arrive at her loft “no” is an answer they will not accept. Next thing Jessie knows, she is in Paul’s Jeep en-route to Lake Tahoe.

To be honest, I wasn’t too sure how Eden Bradley was going to pull this off, given its a short story about a heterosexual female, sleeping in a tent with two bisexual males. However Ms. Bradley, who IMHO pens beautiful erotica, has written an awesome little story here.

Following some initial discomfort, on Jessie’s part, when everyone settles in one tent for the night, Paul and Noah encourage her to join them in what turns out to be the most erotic and intense sexual experience of her life. There is a ménage, voyeurism, m/m, and as the warning indicates, basically something to satisfy just about anyone’s appetite in an erotic read. What I loved though was the relationship that develops between these three people. And, I loved Noah; he is giving, perceptive and totally hot. Essentially I felt Noah was the catalyst for what transpires between the three of them and brings about what is somewhat of a surprise ending.

The descriptive prose of the country woven into the narrative is lovely. I really got a sense of the beauty of the setting, which amplified the eroticism of the story.

The question is who ends up with whom at the end? And, can Jessie’s long-term friendship with Paul survive now that they have been intimate with one another and with Noah?

I would love to read a sequel to find out what happens to one of the characters particularly. I’m not going to say who, in case you decide to read the story because that would give away the answer to the “who ends up with who”, question.

I have print copies of Eden Bradley’s “Forbidden Fruit” and “A 21st Century Courtesan” here in the stacks and hope to enjoy them soon. If you are interested in my thoughts with respect to Ms. Bradley’s novella in the anthology “Hot Nights Dark Desires“, click on the book’s name.

    Hi Amy:

"Twice The Night", is around 100 pages and only costs a couple of bucks so it might be a good way for you to get a taste of Eden Bradley's style.

LOL – Yes "double stuff" indeed. ::waggles brows:: Eden can sure write the sex but there is always a good story to go along with it which is what I like. :)

    Hi Lea!

I love those warnings, are they suppose to entice or detour? LOL, I'd think that they're suppose to entice!

This one does sound excellent and another new author for me. I have a bunch of ebooks on my computer, so maybe I'll add another. I did see this one at Samhain and it looked interesting then too.

Thanks for the great review Lea!

    Dottie :)

  11. Lea says:

    Hey Ms. M.!

Ditto, I love checking out the Samhain books and reading the "Warnings" alone… lol

    L

    Hi Dottie:

I think its a dual purpose to entice and warn. ;)

Some of them are just so damn funny though and do get me interested in a book…

    ((hugs))
